Welcome to my blog
A journal of the ongoing exploration of painting. Continually trying to push the boundaries of my art practice. The challenge is to reach the image in my head. Drawing is always my default starting point and then the materiality of the paint takes over to breathe life into the result.

After a successful exhibition with a friend, Amy Drayson, at the Sentinel Gallery, Wivenhoe, I went on to achieve even more sales at Art Fair East in Norwich. This was a great venue where I met lots of lovely people and received some vry useful feedback. Below is an image of just one of the paintings sold here.
On my return I decided to relocate my studio into a bigger area at home. It was a mammoth task moving plan-chests, books and general paraphanalia but I now have amuch larger space in which to work and can also offer short workshops. I still enjoy teaching and am looking forward to this. I shall probably send out a new Mailchimp letter and put details here too when I've finalised details of this venture.

And now to capitalise on the experiences by preparing for TWO exhibitions.....
